Question about 2003 Hyundai Accent
The dash lights on these cars are actually a fluorescent bulb set. There are two (2) diodes in the fuse box located on the drivers kick panel. Take note of their orientation, with respect to the direction of the triangle as it points to the line(the electrical symbol for a diode). A diode is like an electrical check valve: meaning electricity will only flow one way through it. Under the hood, the people at Hyundai thought it was a good idea to leave you with spare diodes. They are located in the engine compartment fuse box beside the battery. Switch them one at a time so you don't mix up the orientation. Check your lights again...I'll bet they work again. Don't forget to replace the bad diodes with new ones and store them under the hood where you found the spares.

Make sure the dimmer switch for the interior lights is not accidentally turned down. I have seen this several times.
