Hi

Have you checked the Blinker Relay ? that is the most likely cause, put the hazard warning switch on to see if they all flash, and get someone to stand behind the car while you go through all the lights such as brakes lights etc etc to see if they dimm when you turn other lights on.

Hope this helps, get back to me once you have tried this.

Regards

Dan

2011 ford feista se brake light out on drivers side. Running light and blinker work. Have replaced bulb and socket with same results what do I do now?

Did you try the passenger side brake bulb in the driver side socket (maybe the new lamp is bad)??

If it works, then the problem is either a bad ground connection / wire at / between chassis and the shell of brake lamp socket, or bad 12 volt wire at / between the common passenger 12 volt brake light wire in the harness to the center contact on the brake lamp socket.

My suggestion is if the brake lamp wire is ONLY for brakes - not the directional too, simply add a new wire spliced into the passenger side brake light wire and extend it to the brake light wire closest to the new socket that you recently installed on the driver side. Disconnect the vehicle brake wire from the new socket and wire nut it off or tape it up (so it can't short out if it somehow becomes energized again) and splice this new wire to the new socket.

Test & you're done!

Driver side blinker goes double time when headlights are on and all the bulbs in the rear flash at a different time. When the brake pedal is pressed driver side brake light goes out and both reverse l

You have a broken Ground wire From Body to Frame . You Should Have a Heavy Braided Ground wire From Engine Block to Frame on Pass side, Then You will have another one that goes from firewall to engine , like at the back of the Head on passenger side to a screw to firewall.,....One of these is Broken,Loose, Corroded.

No brake lights but fuse is good. Wiring appears okay.

Isnt there a switch on the brake pedal inside under the dash? There should be power going in and out when depressing the brake pedal. If there is a pressure switch, then check it when the brake pedal is up and then depressed. it should have power on one side up, and both when depressed. One thing to keep in mind that I think it goes through the turn signal switch, so if blinkers work, that tells you the wiring is good to the lights, so concentrate on power getting to and out of the turn signal switch.

yes it sounds like the turn signal switch is defective, the brake lights go through that switch as well.

You will need to start tracing the wiring. I have found "green" wiring in these vehicles for many electrical problems. Start at the front and work your way back.

Rear left brek light out

Check the BULB socket to see if it has 12 volts when the brake is applied, test the ground at the socket as well, use a 12 volt test lite from Kragen or a store like it.
