before doing X, defeat air bags by doing Z
all cars, same answer. (cept newer cars with the switch in console)

in general (warning this is not an aswer)
you pull a fuse and wait 30mins
or pull a fuse and pull a yellow connector.

you need to look this up your self and not expect others to take your risks.

My 2004 chrysler will not start, the ignition fuse overcurrents each time I try to start the engine

Worked at dodge dealer for the last 13 yrs and have seen this problem a hundred times. Your starter is pullin too many amps during startup. Replace starter and will fix your problem

wd40 first easiest fix
remove steering wheel to see what is binding inside.
unhook small rod going to ignition switch to eliminate switch as a problem.
check ignition switch to see if it is loose. tighten as necessary.

I have a Jaguar X-Type 2.5L and the check engine light is on as well as the other light on the board. It also says in the screen that the cruise is not available however It is functional. The problems are...

need to run a scan with a data stream-to diagnose--just pullin up codes doesnt doit--also are the fluids new and at correct level--if theyr dirty or old things are slower to work--clean the throttle body and idle air motor to stop stalling--chec for worn ignition components

2008 honda odessey ignition switch trouble

Hi

I have same problem - intermittently in my 2005 Honda Odyssey (Australian Version)! Same story with dealer response since of course it will not do it when I take it in (twice). Honda dealer says he cannot repair problem unless he sees it is broken! Very frustrating!!!!

I have had some success by putting the key in and out of lock several times and then moving it about when I try to start the car - normally this fixes it. I only hope this does not break permanently when I am far from home!

Keen to hear if others have this problem and have found a permanent solution.

Interior light not turning on

you require new door switches -they are availble in help section at most car part stores-note when you disconnect this old one -do not drop inside chassy-this is very bad. I am not kidding on this . No beer no friends ,no girls around get it done then get on to other things - I recomend pullin gswitch out tying a string around end that runs inside chassy -secure it -then remove switch. you may fine it just needs cleaning but I would just replace.Take the old one in to store as the size at base changes between brands .
