If the engines fires up when you pour fuel into the throat of the TBI, then it isn't ignition related

I'd replace the fuel filter (relatively inexpensive) then see what happens.

If it still won't start, check the cranking fuel pump pressure. If no (or low) reading, you may well have a bad fuel pump. Also can check fuel pump relay, to make sure you're getting power to the pump.

Good luck!

Replace your temp sensor on the thermostat hsg. this sensor send to ecm the ext. temp. sometime he give a bad info and the injectors not go to (choke) position for help to start your engine.

Did you change the fuel filter it maybe plugged. The fuel regulator maybe weak or not working as well. It is definitely a fuel problem. Is the engine carb or throttle body as I am not sure. If it is a carb the pump in the carb maybe weak or if it is a TBI then check and make sure the injectors are opening in key on position before start up. Hope this helps.

Have to pour gas in the tbi to start, but runs fine after it start.

Year make and model, and how long do you have to crank the engine before it starts without the boost of fuel ?
Could be a faulty fuel pump relay.

check for spark, no spark, no fire engine wont run, possible bad ignition coil, wire from coil to distributor cap, no power to ignition coil from ignition switch (rare) wire broken to ignition coil (even rarer)

you need to have the fuel pressure checked with a gage and volume as if its not at the spec the injectors won`t open to spray enough fuel.also you should check the injectors for proper voltages and ground as if these are not within specs then the injectors won`t work either

This truck is fuel injected, the problem sounds like a weak fuelpump, it runs when you pour gas into it until that gas runs out, the first thing is to test the fuel preasure, if the pump is weak it may run with gas poured into it but wont idle, also a common problem is the coolant temp sensor and the ground wires to thermostat housing bolt but i wont bet its the pump inside the fuel tank, if you put a fuel gauge on it there should be at least 55-61 psi if its a few pounds lower it can cause problems, you have everything else and it runs with gas poured so its a fuel problem check the preasure, theres a valve up top on the fuel line to connect a fuel gauge to it, start there hope this is helpful.

Help w 1994 chevrolet truck

This injector set-up needs a specific fuel pressure supplied to the fuel rail to even start, much less run properly. The fuel pump is immersed in fuel inside the gas tank to keep it cool and not burn up. Running the fuel level low causes more heat in the pump and interuptions in proper fuel pressure. AC/Delco pumps have proven to be a reliable fix, the aftermarket pumps only last for a month or two sometimes. Check fuel pressure under the hood and power and ground to fuel pump at electrical harness at top of gas tank. This truck needs a fuel pump.
