The coil is right beside the distributor cap (follow center wire on cap, goes to coil) and the module is inside the housing of the distributor cap(remove the cap with torx screws.)

96 sierra 4x4 5.7, no spark, no fuel, only have .4 volts at ingition module, coil, and 10A ign fuse. Door locks don't engage when turn key,

Something wrong in the fuse box if you only have .4 volts at the fuse. Maybe a loose terminal in there.

Car wont start no spark at plugs

if distributor model check coil feed to distributot for spark this is done by grounding the coil wire. if coil module feed then check power to coil module if no power then your problem is outside the engine area in the ingition or fuses ect many possibilities

I want to know were the module and the ingition coil on the m,otor

The ignition module is bolted to the distributor, underneath the cap. It has two wiring harness' attached to it. The coil is mounted off to the side. I thnk it's on the passenger side. It too will have two wiring harness' attached and one large "spark plug" wire from it to the distributor cap.

305 vortec engine and has no fire need to know where to start, how to check crank sensor, or what else i need to check

if it died all of a sudden no warning, replace the ingition moduel located in the distrubitor. These are common to go out without warning and would cause no spark. It's like a $30 part and just simple tools needed to replace. If it went out over time let me know and I'll tell you what else to check.

1988 F150 cranks / turns when trying to start but will not fire. it gets fuel, coil , ignition module changed, ingition unit on steeing wheel under dash has also been changed. acts like no combustion is...

no combustion or no compression? timing chain broke? you did not supply enough info about what you tested.or how. remove a spark plug wire if you dont like shcks take an old spark plug two alligator clips and a piece of wire attatch to the hex metal body of this old plug and connect the wire you just removed run the starter while watching for strong!!! spark.you can have a weak spark and no start=bad coil.i think but maybe wrong that this vehicle still uses aignition module located somewhere on the fender.find a parts locator maybe at the library. this module was aproblem for decades.have fun.

How to check a 2002 kia sedona ignition coil

first, does the motor have 2 or 3 coils? if so, check the ohms on the ones you know is good, then check the ohms on the other one. if they're about the same, they might be fine. other than that theres the ignition module usually located under the coil packs. i dont know how to check it, but if you think its bad, contact your local trusted mechanic and see if he knows how to check it. modules usually run about 70-100 dollars, depending on the manufacturer. you could also check the crankshaft position sensor, but usually if that goes, the whole engine will misfire.
also, the ingition system has what you call a "dead spark." for example, you have 3 coils on the car, and two cylinders are fired by 1 coil. while one cylinder is on its compression stroke, the other is on its exhaust stroke, and when it fires it sends the spark to both cylinders at once. thats why the spark going to the one on its exhaust stroke is the dead spark.
hope this helps!!!
