Question about 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT Sport Hatchback

2 Answers

Headlights What's going on is I have a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT and my daytime running lights and my high beams are not working on my passenger side. My car was run off the road into the desert, however this is something that just started recently and my car was run off the road over one year ago. My lowbeams work just fine. My brother is a mechanic and so far has not been able to locate a problem. Does anyone have any suggestions about what the problem could be?

I have a 1995 Ford Explorer Limited and the high beams work but the low beams and fog lights do not, please help....

These trucks are known for bad multifuction switches.
the switch that i talk of is the signal switch , the handle is the switch, it bolts to side of steering column . this switch controls the signals and the headlights and high /low beams. the other thing is the headlight switch connector, the connector some times goes bad and starts to melt or just comes out of the connector. you will need to remove the cover to steering column, the screws are located under the bottom cover in holes. remove cover and check connector and then test for power if you have power going into switch but not coming out then switch is bad.

the last thing is to make sure the bulbs are good , make sure the headlight bulbs are good , and also the driving light bulbs, test for power at the connectors to those lights to.
You will need to do a little testing to find the problem.

Dodge 2007 Caliber SXT headlight relay

A relay problem would disable both the lights not just one.

Where is the low beam relay located in the dodge caliber

There is no "low beam relay" in a 2007 Dodge Caliber. The headlamps (Hi and Low beams) are controlled by the Totally Integrated Power Module in the engine compartment.

I have an 07 dodge caliber and my driver side low beam will not work..both my high beams and passenger low beam all work. I have even bought new bulbs and nothing. What causes this?

check the bulb socket to make sure the wires are in place, maybe a old prong maybe stuck inside?? it is a wire problem...broken or came loose..

2002 Dodge Caravan headlamps: one works on dim the other works on high beam but not together. Also only one daytime running lamp.

Your van has dual diligent headlamp bulbs, that means each headlight has one bulb that serves as high beam and low beam. What has most likely happened is on one side the low beam filament has burnt out, and on the other side the high beam filiment has burnt out. The daytime running lights are just the high beam filament running on reduced power, so if the high beam doesn't work on one side, that same side will have no daytime running light. Replace both headlamp bulbs with matching, good quality bulbs.

Headlights alternate on and off left and right daytime/high beam

although the underhood relay panel is common, I'd check your headlamp bulbs first, these are cheaper than the fuse box. The daytime running lights work off the high beam circuit, thus, a blown highbeam bulb could be the culprit, the fusebox solution was more common on 2001 and up modles, although it's a definite possibility.
