SOURCE: there is no sound coming out the speakers

Check all the fuses in both fuse boxes.  If that doesn't help replace the radio.

SOURCE: Rear brakes on 2005 ford 500

On my Chevy, I use a prybar between the rotor and the caliper to retract it a little, once it's off, I use a 6-in. C-clamp to fully retract it.
Make sure the reservoir doesn't overflow!

SOURCE: 1996 Ford Taurus Making a beeping sound

Mine beeps like that as well if I don't put my seat belt on. The seat belt light comes on for about a minute then shuts off and a few seconds later it starts beeping without any lights coming on. This may not be what your problem is but I was wondering why mine did the same thing and I figured out if I didn't have my seatbelt on that's when it would beep like that. The seat belt light had already shut off and wasn't blinking or anything so I didn't realize that's what it was right away.

SOURCE: reverse backing sensor doesn't beep when backing

They have most likely painted over the sensors in the rear bumper or the module has fialed or the sensors are not plugged, one other slim posibility is the siren in the module is faulty.

I have same problem with my 2005 with 65,000 miles---think it is down shift between 2nd & 1st gear making noise. I read on ford 500 forum

I welcome any advise.

When I turn the key forward, my Ford 500 sounds like it wants to start, but it wont "catch".

these are somethings to check battery discharged or battery terminals loose or corroded (smile out of gas) cowl pack and you do not have any spark or the crank sensor give these websites a try and if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair Manual for your car wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

Backup sensors not working

using a mechanics can listen to the sensors...listen for the weakest sensor and replace it...the sensors make a faint ticking noise when listened to..the faulty sensor will be noticeably different sounding than others...of course the key need to be in on position and in revers (be careful not to run you self over!)

Ford backup sensors not working

I would buy a Chilton Repair Manual from a local parts store and a digital ohm meter. If the chilton doesn't have the ohms for all the sensors then research online for the specs on the sensor. It sound like a wiring issue or relay.

you need to go to the parts house and purchase an ambient temperature sensor. that is the sensor that tells the car what the outside temp. is. I hope that helps you out.

It sounds like your EGR valve is sticking, the EGR valve position sensor is bad or the EP sensor is bad.
