Place a block of wood under the engine sump to prevent damage when you jack up the engine to take the tension off the mount. Make sure you do not jack the engine up too much as you might damage the exhaust, cooling hoses etc.

When going from park to drive the whole moter moves what causes this

The motor/transaxle are mounted to the car with rubber mounts. Some movement of the engine when shifting to drive is normal. Loose or damaged mounts can allow too much movement.
Also, if the engine idle speed is too high it will increase the amount of movement when engaging drive.

Need to change the battery on a 2004 pt with turbo

Remove the air filter, then remove the air filter box. To remove the air filter box, you need to firmly pull it up, it is not attached to anything, but feels like it is. That will expose the battery, which has one mounting bolt at the base of the battery.

Motor mounts

Most motor mounts are basically a piece of rubber attached to a piece of metal. Rubber just dries out after time and begins to crack off. Accelerating hard can speed up this process.

PT Cruiser Timing chain and water pump problems removing

It's a pain to get out I just did mine belt and water pump it took about 3 times as long as I thought.
Make sure all the bolts are loose, make sure you have removed the tranmission mount as it gives you more room to move the engine. It's suggest you take the exhaust off as well as you can damage it if you jack the engine up too high. Lossen the bolts on the motor mount across from that plate, you will not be able to remove the motor mount but you can spin it allowing you to get that big plate out.

PM dhirst on ptcrew.com if you want some pics or more instructions.
