Question about 1991 Honda Accord

1 Answer

My 91 Honda seems to want to start but does not. I have ruled out the battery and alternator. This all happened when the car shut down on me while I was driving. One thing in particular is the power windows or clock do not work. Help!

you may have a faulty alternator or and internal part in the alternator, replace it with a dealer part and that may solve the problem, it must be a dealer part..

How to change an alternator on a 91 honda accord. do u have to take that thing off that is above the alternator

Start with disconnecting the battery, the remove the belt. You can just remove the tensioner bolt altogether. Then remove the lower bolt. Disconnect the connector from the alternator, remove the nut Hilding the battery cable to the back of the alternator. Remove as gentle as possible, so you don't need to fix anything else. Have fun
