What size &; threads are the 3 holes in 2001 buick lesabre 3.8 harmonic balancer?

You could either have a balancer with 6x100 or 8mm125 thread. But, past experience has taught my that you may need to drill out the holes and tap to next size up.

How do you remove the harmonic balancer on a 1987 GMC R3500 with a 454?

You remove the giant bolt, then you use a harmonic balancer puller, which essentially bolts up rather than using claws to grab. The bolts of the puller go into the pulley fastening bolt holes.

Something must happen to protect the crank threads, a spacer, using the retainer bolt, or whatever, just do not kill the threads.

How to use a harmonic balanced puller on a 94 Buick lasabre

Hi, it is easiest if you set the brake, jack up the car, put in a jack stand for support, and remove the wheel and splash shield to access the pulley. If you have a manual transmission, put it in a high gear and set the brake. If you have an automatic transmission, you will need to lock the engine with something, best done at the flywheel/flexplate. If there is no access panel to the flexplate, remove the starter for access. With the engine locked, remove the main pulley bolt. Use 3 quarter inch bolts to attach the puller to the pulley and tighten the puller slowly to extract the pulley. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

I need to know what size wrenches are needed to replace harmonic balancer and crank sensor on my 1989 buick century 2.8 ltr. engine

you will need sockets, the crank bolt i belive is 22mm and you might need in impact wrench to remove bolt. the crank sensor is 1/2 in or 13mm, that a rachet is good.and to remove balancer sometimes youll need a puller. hope this helps.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

  1. Serpentine belt from the crankshaft pulley.
  2. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
  3. Right front tire and wheel assembly.
  4. Right inner fender access cover.
  5. Using a 28 mm socket, remove the crankshaft harmonic balancer retaining bolt.
  6. Crankshaft harmonic balancer using tool J 38192 or equivalent.
  7. Sensor electrical connector.
  8. Foreign object deflector.

Just get a new compressor with one on it. Changing the clutch is a waste of time and your money.

How do i get to the revers lites in my 1989 buick lasabre

On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced
