How do I replace my battery in the itac stl-900l

Hi. First locate the battery, then disconnect the negative-- terminal from the battery. Second disconnect the positive+ terminal, then loosen and remove the holding nut usually near the front base of the battery. Remove battery. Replace in the reverse order ,(connect positive+ first then negative--).Don't forget to replace and tighten securing nut. Sounds complicated but easy. All the best.

I have a 04 760li with the v12. i need to replace the battery. any ideas how it comes out. where do i start.

Hi rej0,

The battery is located in the rr corner of the trunk. You will need to removed the carpeted trim and floor cover over the spare wheel in the trunk. Next remove the clamp that secures the spare wheel. Then remove the spare wheel. You will also find the roll stop in the wheel well secured with a wing nut. Remove it too. Using a 10mm socket, first loosen the negative battery cable, then the positive battery cable. You will also need to remove the battery clamp near the bottom corner of the battery. The battery can then be slid out into the spare wheel well. Make sure to reinstall the overflow tube, (grey in color) into the replacement battery. Reassemble in reverse order. It is important that you use a replacement battery with the same amp/hr rating. ie. 90 or usually 110ah.

I have 2005 Chrysler Voyager - battery flattens overnight, and will not start. I am doing short journeys which I guess does not help. Nearly new battery, charging system good, and nothing apparently using...

The battery will not discharge unless there is a drain. When the car is shut down disconnect the negative battery terminal. Put a DC ammeter between (in series) the battery negative terminal and the disconnected cable. The drain due to electric clock and immobiliser circuit will be in the order of 30mA (0.03 Amps). Remove each fuse in turn and note any drops in the current drawn. At some point you will encounter a fuse which when removed drops the current drain, it is this particular circuit that is primarily the cause of the battery discharging and it will need closer inspection to detect the fault within it. If you can leave this fuse out to prevent battery discharge.

What size does battery does it take and if i change the battery will it lock the whole car up or do I have to take it to the dealership

this vehicle takes a 65 series battery. step one is to disconnect the negative terminal. step two is to disconnect positive terminal. step three is to remove battery hold down which i believe is held down by a 8 m.m. bolt located in front of battery (side facing engine). inspect terminals for acid corrosion if needed clean before connecting to new battery. keep keys in pocket in case doors decide to lock one new battery is connected. installation is reverse of removal. if this was helpful please leave positive rating.

Change the battery on 2004 chevy venture

1st remove the positive wire from the post. Next remove the negative wire. Next remove any retainers that are holding the battery in the mount. After you free the battery, remove it from the vehicle. Reverse order of removal to replace. reset clock, and radio settings. IF your radio has an anti-theft device and it becomes active due to the absebse of power (battery removal) you may need to contact your dealer for the code to release the device. Good luck, I hope I have helped.

When you turn key something just spins, can the starter have gone out.is this something i can change myself

it sounds like your starters bendix is out so you will probably need a new one
but before you spend any money make sure your battery is fully charged sometimes low voltage can cause this symptom
if your battery is fully charged then you will need a starter
if you have basic mechanical knowledge you can do this
make sure to disconnect your negative battery cable and isolate it from
the battery first then remove the mounting bolts and the wire connections replace in the same order make sure to prevent battery wire at starter from touching any obstructions then reconnect battery
and you should be good to go
i hope this helps

New battery keeps going dead could it be my fuses? 2004 kia sorento dealer checked electrical, alternator - all good how do i check fuses?

circuits will drain batteries not fuses you will need to have someone check the draw on each circuit in the vehicle. start with any recent electrical installations. keep keys out of the vehicle then remove negative battery terminal and then use 12 volt light bulbin between the battery and cable. bright light means power draw. remove fuses one at a time till the light goes out. the circuit that makes the light go out is bad.
