Question about 2002 GMC Yukon Denali
This is most likely related to one or both accelerator pedal sensors. Communication between the two is not sufficient, causing the reduced power indicator light. One or both sensors will need to be tested and/or replaced. You can check the connections at the throttle and at the top of the accelerator pedal for a loose or corroded connection.

I have had this problem, in the past on trail blazers with the 5.3 liter the throtle body sensor was the issue on both times. today i had the same experince on a denali 6.0 liter i was unable to scan the code but i did loose power and the dash said lose of power so i am assuming that its the throtle body once again. So that tell me that gm may have a bit of a problem with them, considering i have had this problem 3 differ times with 3 differ yrs.. i am a full time ASE tech i am posting this to maybe help with information on this ongoing GM issue

That is a hard problem to pin point without knowing what codes the computer has stored. It can be any number or sensors or engine problems.
You can go to most auto parts stores and they will pull the codes for you for free.
