I have a 97 grand prix. When it rains water leaks in the front passenger floor board. My a/c doesn't work. When coolent was poured into it it also leaked all in the floor.

your heater core is leaking, that would explain the antifreeze on the passenger floor-as for it leaking there when it rains, there is a piece of molding that sometimes move out of place, it is under the hood on the passenger side, below the vent plate (remove the wiper blade arms, the plate for access)-the ac not working? that could be as simple as low freon, or as bad as multiple leaks, comtaminated system, electrical issues-do you mean the blower motor, because with all that moisture stuff you have going on there I wouldn't be surprised if the blower motor has electrical issues due to the flooding.

The MOST IMPORTANT THING is to fix or bypass the heater core, or you will end up needing an engine if it overheats.

Water drips onto carpet on passengers side front foot area. Can be seen dripping from plastic air ducting above foot area. how to figure out how its getting in. Have replaced windshield.

You can only have 2 issues dripping water onto the passenger floor board. First being a clogged drip line for the ac evaporator. The other is a leaking heater core. Figuring out which one is the issue is fairly easy.

If your vehicle has anti freeze in it when you turn the defrosters on it will smell sweet. If it does you have a leaking heater core. If it does not then the drip line is clogged.

To clear the drip line get under the vehicle and snake the drip line on the firewall. It usually is a 90 degree rubber or plastic piece on the passenger side about a third of the way up the firewall. A leaking heater core means it has to be replaced and not really a job for someone that is not exsperienced.

Sounds like a blown heater core. It's an involved job that requires the dash board to be removed. Not specifically a dealership job but definitely a good shop. Realigning some dashes is a pain in the ****.

What could be the cause of water in the front and rear floor board on the passenger side of 1998 jeep grand cherokee? thanks

Hello
Have you checked the AC evaporator core (located inside the air ducting) condensation drain at the bottom of the heater box to see if it is clogged, it exits under the truck on the passenger side at the bottom of the firewall, you will need to get under the truck to see it, this would be the common reason for the water issue. The next leak area would be the windshield seal, this is much less common..

Getting water in front passenger floor boaed, what might cause it?

Clogged or disconnected drain hose from the heater core box. Or bad/leaking heater core. Does the liquid smell like coolant. If so bad heater core. If not and the water only when you use the AC then it is a drain hose issue. If neither of those pan out you could have a leaky windshield. However 99% of the time a wet passenger floor is caused by a bad heater core or drain hose.

There is water on the passenger side floor.

From thesaabsite.com

AC evaporator/Heater core Issues: When the vehicle was released in 1994 a problem existed where the ac evaporator and the heater core were too close together which caused water to pour into the passenger floor after running the ac for a while. The cure for this was to insert a screen between the two items to break the condensation issue and that seem to remedy the problem rather easily.

Water leaking into the passenger side floor board from the ac

Normally when that happens it means your heater core has gone bad and needs replaced. I'm not really sure if it can be patched or not. Before anything though try running a radiator sealant through it first, If that don't work, Replace it.

Water on floor board on passenger side of 1991 Buick Century

Engine coolant will feel oily and the windshield will fog up and the car will stink. If it is just water it could be coming from the passenger door weatherstrip at top. The ac drain tube , if stopped up will also leak water in the floorboard.

Water leaking onto floor of front passenger side of vehicle

Water on the floor indicates a heater core leak. You may also find a mist coming from the inside of the car when you run the heat and or AC. If this is the case, have your heater core checked out. Best of luck.
