You will have to park it in a place that's above 40 degrees for a while, then you can hear the compressor engage when you put it in defrost mode or tuen on the a/c.

I have an 06 Impala LT. Just out of the blue my car wont start. Everything else comes on radio,lights, etc. When I turn the key it kind of makes a loud thumping sound. I had the conclusion of maybe in need of a new battery or something more serious....any suggestions?
Had the same problem with my '06 Impala LT. Replace the entire headlight assembly. There is a broken wire inside that cannot be serviced by the owner or dealer. Hope this helps!
i would those are good trucks but it pays to have a good warranty. also get your spark plugs changed every sixty thousand miles not that they go bad in 60 but the way they made that plug is crazy. if you weight to long it will cost you more in the long run. beleive me a work on those trucks every day. and make sure to follow threw with the oil changes and fluid flushes. just for kicks go to your local auto parts store and ask to see one of those plugs and youll see what i'm talkin about.
