Re: Antena does not raise: 2002 Sequoia limited
I think at the back of the radio is a blue with white stripe wire that could be labeled power antenna. test it if it has a 12 v positive as you turn the radio on. if there is, then the problem is in the antenna. if there is none then the problem is in the radio. there could be a fuse at the wire as it comes out of the radio to the antenna.
i hope i was able to solve your problem. please rate me. tnx. drcool299

There is no power antenna switch. It is lowered and raised automatically when you turn the radio on and off. If it doesn't raise or lower itself, either the fuse is blown or the antenna motor or mast is bad and needs replacing.
on the radio there is a cable that is for Power Antena you might have to set a cable out to the area you are instslling the antena if this car already had a power antena you only need to hook up the leds from the old if not then like i said you need to get positive cable out to the antena and ground it to chassis
Jeep grand cherokee ltd, 1996 The radio is not working, when I switch the power on the antena motor makes a noise although the antena is always up, there is no sound from the radio what so ever, it says WAIT 2 1/2 hours but nothing happens, no tape radio cd, switch the radio off the antena makes a noise then the radio switches off.
turn on the stereo so the antena will come up and where the antena goes in to the fender u will have to go under the hood and look through one of the holes in the inner fender to see the antena motor or u can take the plastic inner fender off from inside of the wheel well to get to antena motor then when u can get to the motor u will see a black fairley large wire wich is the antena wire it self and u should see one more small wire just unplug small wire or clip with wire cutters and tape the ends off with electricle tape as so it wont arc out any where
im guessing the antenna has been replaced and wires were mixed up. take the rear panel off in the trunk to give access to the antenna motor and look at the wiring there should be 2 small wires and one larger black wire. the black wire is the reception wire the other two are the power wires. switch the positions on the two power wires. say wire A is in plug 1 and wire B is in plug 2. final position should be A in 2 and B in 1. that should take care of it. good luck
likely two seperate problems: the display inside the radio is one, (is it digital?) if not, you can take the bulb out and replace it. Second is the antenna mast: There is a nylon "cord" inside the mast that connects to a spool in the motor...for some reason it has become disconnected from the spool or the spool driving gear has failed.Sometimes if you take it apart, you can fix it but in most cases it's easier to just replace it.
