A person with the right tools and a lift and knowledge of what is doing 4 hours.

A person with basic tools ( no air tools) no lift, no knowledge 1 week.

There is no adjustment, the only possibility is that there is a leak in the hydraulic system.

1995. Why does it shift fine until I come to a stop then will not downshift?

At stop, clutch may be dragging and syncros may be less perfect. Try checking clutch adjustment, then try changing trans fluid to synthetic.

The clutch is not shifting easily. Can I adjust it my self?

If it's hydraulic clutch, meaning there is a small oil reservoir in the engine compartment, then no as those clutches are self adjusting. Given the year of the vehicle, I do believe that it is hydraulic. What do you mean by the clutch is not shifting easily, is the pedal stiff or is the clutch not engaging smoothly?

I dont know were the clutch cable ajustment is.

There is no clutch cable. The single, dry disc type clutch uses a hydraulically operated master cylinder and a release cylinder mounted on the clutch housing. The clutch release cylinder is not adjustable. Clearance is automatically compensated for by internal design of the cylinder.

If your clutch is not releasing properly, the most likely cause is a worn out clutch disc, which will require more travel to disengage than the hydraulic system is designed to provide. It is either this, or your master and/or slave cylinders need replacement.

Can i adjust the clutch on a 1990 model toyota land criuser petrol ute

there are only two adjustment you can make on a hydraulic clutch set up and that is pedal hight and free play. To adjust pedal hight you rotate pedal stop bolt at top of pedal assembly to adjust the hight. To adjust freeplay you loosen the lock nut at the master cylinder pushrod and turn push rod in or out to the specified freeplay then you tighten everything back up

How do you adjust the clutch on 1994 toyota pickup?

The only adjustment you have is pedal free play. The rod attached to the end of the clutch peddle has a threaded adjustment and a stop nut to hold it in place. Free play should be about 1/2" measured at the pedal.

AC light flashes on and off and ac stops. Repair man says all guages check out okay and freeon is good.

Try changing your ac clutch relay in the fuse box, or just take it out and tap it a few times. Sometimes they get stuck if the ac wasn't used for a while.

I have an old 1989 Toyota dyna with 14b motor 5 speed. I wish to know if the hydraulic clutch is adjustable and if so how, as mine is slipping and hard to change down gears

hi, no im afraid with the hydraulic clutch their is no adjustment its going to be a case of buying a clutch kit and change the clutch.

If it was cable tight then some are adjustable and some are not but even the ones that are not adjustable you can get round this and adjust them slightly but with your type of clutch their is nothing at all you can do.

Sorry i couldnt give you any good news or an easy fix but its going to be a case of changing parts to solve your problem.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Dose the engine oil top up the gearbox oil in the toyota rava4 19

NO the engine oil only tops off the engine it self and the gear box uses a different oil and to top it off and check is different from the engine dip stick. Good luck and your manual should tell you when it's time to service your gear box oil.

My clutch is slipping on my 1993 toyota truck. Are there adjustments I can make myself. I am fairly handy, but not a car repair expert.

Sorry, there are no adjustments on your vehicle., The clutch is activated via hydraulic pressure. The master and slave cylinders are "self-adjusting". If the clutch is slipping, you are going to need to pull the trans and replace the clutch assembly. Changing the hydraulics will not help a slipping clutch at all.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for advice!
