Chevy Blazer no gas will not start. Changed filter, gas gage lies about level. Goes to zero when starting. Full tank.

Possible bad fuel pump. Have someone crank the engine while rapidly hitting the bottom of the fuel tank with your fist agressively. You can also use a hammer and hit the tank using the flat of the hammer head while the engine is being cranked. If it starts or tries to start, suspect a bad fuel pump

Shuts off when idling

You may have cooked the fuel pump. Or the gauge may be off.
I would check fuel pressure with a gauge and make sure you have gas in the tank. Anything less than a quarter of a tank is rough on the pump. It needs liquid gasoline to keep cool and lubed.

Looking at what I believe to be a fuel pump issue. The starter and the engine turn over, but no gas is getting to the engine. Fuel filter and other related parts? Maybe....however in all of the Chevy...

If you dont hear the fuel pump it either is not getting power or the pump is not working.Sometime you can use your fist and hit plastic fuel tank and get ti to come on..Remember the fuel relay will only let the pump run 2 to 5 seconds if the engine dosent start

Will not start wnen less than one fourth tank of fuel. 2003 Yukon

Do you park on a hill? Try pumping the gas pedal a few times before you start it. Check that there is no fuel being dropped, check under the car for rusted fuel lines and any drips.

Hope this helps and vote for me please Thanks.

98 dodge ram 1500 Truck ran out of gas. It will start w/ starter fluid sprayed in filter but will not stay running.

Since the fuel pump is in the gas tank, your pump picked up debris, and dirt on the bottom of the tank and ran it into your fuel filter.
Replace fuel filter, and check fuel pump fuse.
Running your vehicle with less than a 1/4 tank of gas is hard on the pump, because the fuel pump uses gas to cool it.
Please let me know what you find.

WONT STAY RUNNING

Remove the gas cap and wrap your fist around a short piece of hose and insert one end of the hose into the opening of the gas tank. Place your fist and hose up against your ear so you can clearly hear noise through the hose.
When the ignition key is turned to the on position, you should hear the fuel pump run for about two seconds. This is a priming feature that is performed by the computer.
Start the vehicle and listen to verify the pump remains running.
If pump remains on while engine is running, install fuel pump pressure gauge between fuel filter and engine. Check for proper pressure. Low or dropping pressure usually means the filter is at issue.

Fuel not getting to injectors

have you changed the fuel filter? or it could be the fuel pump. FIRST chek if their is gas in your tank, if not fill it.if so then take off the hose at fuel rail and put it in a jar or something like that. then start it "but just for a second". then chech if there is gas in the gar, if not check the pump by taking off the filter and donig the same thing. if still no gas then the pump is bad. hit the bottem of your tank realy hard with your fist, it should work. if not then you need a new one.
