Question about 1998 Dodge Caravan

1 Answer

Panel lamps My sister in law's grand caravan has its panel lamps lights on all the time when the engine is running. To name the exact pilot lamps are as follows : push button/lamp for rear wiper, rear wiper/washer, A/C circulation in/out, A/C on/off lamp. Most are found in the center console. Thank you very much for any answers that you'll share.

Year model is needed for precise answer. Most caravans have a dimmer on them that increases/decreases the brightness of the dash and panel lights. On my 98 grand caravan, the knob is a vertical roller about pencil thickness in width on the dash just to the left of the steering column, but to the right of the headlight switch. Rotating that knob, at midpoint their is a "catch" that locks the panel lights in bright mode while the key is on.

It gives me acode p1495 and check engine light stays on and also it gives me code0455 please help me

P0445= Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit Shorted
P1495= Leak detection pump solenoid circuit

both of these codes are just emission codes and are nothing to really worry about if you can live with the engine light being on all the time they won't hurt engine in any way and you won't notice any change in the way the van runs
there really only two reasons to fix this
1. you can't stand engine light being on
2. you live in a state with smog laws that require routine inspections

2002 Dodge Caravan headlamps: one works on dim the other works on high beam but not together. Also only one daytime running lamp.

i would say yor problem is most likely corrosion of the connectors in the engine compartment to the light assemblies. this would affect everything you have mentioned
