Try cycling the the key a bunch of times first before you crank the engine the fuel pump could be weak or the filter getting plugged start by checking fuel pressure first also using a scan tool and checking for codes you can use the scan tool for check your crank signal

On all vehicles in the 1980's car makers started using computer controlled fuel injection systems and these systems have numerous sensors . These sensors give information to the computer for fuel control. Some of these sensors are the coolant temp. , mass airflow, oxygen sensors, if one of these sensor is reporting wrong information to the engine computer it could cause the symptoms you are experiencing. Along with vacuum leaks, plugged catalytic converters, miss firing spark plugs . Most usually a flashing check engine light will accompany a miss fire. These sensors degrade over time and miles, and it helps to have a diagnostic scan tool to check the sensors outputs to the engine computer. Fuel trims can also be viewed on a scan tool , these short term and long term fuel trims show how much fuel is added or subtracted, positive numbers = adding fuel negative numbers = taking fuel away . So what I'm trying to say here is that these are complex systems and sometimes you need to take them to someone who has the tools and knowledge to fix them !

My 2004 sienna hit bumpy corner express road at 45mph, seconds later the whole van shakes like I'm driving on 4 flat tires then vsc and check engine light comes on. The van refuse to move as if I

The Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.

What kind of scan tool to chek eng.light

Well a 1995 would be using a ODB 1 computer. So you would need to find a OB1 scanner or a ODB 1 & 2 scanner in one.

Reference voyager van wiggle test. If that did not solve your problem, you may have a cam sensor going bad. There is no way for you to check the computer. With a scan tool hooked to vehicle, can you read codes?

WHen driving the van will be sluggish until after 45 mph.No problems starting .Feels like a pull underneath the chassis. Is this a fuel line, fuel pump problem?? Thank you

It's not likely to be a fuel supply type of problem as it would be worse at higher speeds. Sound more like a problem with the EGR valve which can cause a lean mixture. It may also be caused by a tired O2 sensor which is slow to respond. You may need access to a scan tool to figure it out.

2000 chevy venture. wont start. change fuel pump runs perfectly for one day. next day the van start and drives out of driveway sputters and dies. starts and sputters back home. change the fuel censor. ...

Testing is the way to a fix . Fuel pump pressure testing , electrical testing . Viewing engine sensor data on a scan tool . Instead of guessing as to the problem learn to test or take it to a qualified repair shop . Changing ECU without doing it correctly can cause problems that were not there before . PCM - engine computers need to be programmed , dealer only.

HHow much should i pay for the scan tool for my 1996 eldorado?

Why pay for it, just pull into any auto parts store and they will scan it for free, they want to sell you parts. But if you buy one,, I think the cheapest I saw was $250. You are in the new bracket there being a 96, the changed over from ob1 to ob2 in 95, sounds like start wars. Anyway, Check out ebay. they have a bunch on there.
