Question about Hyundai Santa Fe
The potential problems are many. Did you buy it from a dealer? If so, tell them what the issue is and give them the chance to make it right. If you bought it from a private party you may not have any recourse if the car ends up needing more money than it's worth but small claims court is always there for you. Document everything, make a diary for this car and fill it out each day, you'll need it in court to prove that someone sold you more than you got.
If it's lost all of its coolant in a week then there is little chance of it being a reliable car without throwing money at it. Sure, it might just need some minor repair but it probably didn't just start losing coolant the day after you bought it, and modern automobile motors won't put up with that sort of thing for long. Pull the oil stick and smell it- any hint of a burned smell? If so, it's been overheated.
Good luck with it, I hope it all works out smoothly,
