Hi, there are 4 sensors on your truck--two upstream and 2 downstream. The upstream sensors are mounted in the exhaust manifolds and the downstream sensors are mounted just behind the catalytic converters. The upstream and downstream sensors are different. Bank 1 is on the driver's side and bank 2 is on the passenger's side. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

No, there are only 3 oxygen sensors on a 2002 Blazer V6. 1 one the drivers side just below the exhaust mainfold on the exhaust pipe. And 1 on the passenger side exhuast pipe just before the Y connection of both left and right pipes. And 1 after the catalytic converter.

I had a check engine light on for about 2 years, After one year, I had it checked at advanced AP, It showed bank 2 position 1. They told me I have 4 Oxygen sensors, and that Bank 2 position 1 should be the one in front of the catalytic converter. Well one thing is, still did not replace it, and yes gas economy went down a bit, but no rough idle yet. (When your sensor goes out, the computer goes into a looping mode to run your vehicle. But does not get feed back to improve performance.) Anyway, Yesterday decided get a scan again at Advanced, still the same Oxygen sensor was at fault. I looked and looked and never found a forth O2 sensor. Looked in the haynes manual, and it clarified that there were only 3 o2 sensors.

02 Chevy blazer p0155,p0446 codes. What to do?

EVAP Evaporative Emission Control System .follow this link for the P0446 fault , this is a problem with the Engine Evap valve , this link describes in detail the system etc. The other code P0155 is for the Front Oxygen sensor bank 2 , this could be a faulty wiring connection or the sensor its self so further diagnosis will be required .I would advice using a good quality fuel addative , one that covers the catalytic convertor as well as the usual engine parts, injectors etc as there may just be build up of carbon on the sensor that is restricting the signal being recieved , keep me posted if you wish

What is an 02 sensor upstream 98 astro van

02 sensor is your oxygen sensor, 98 chevy astro carries 3 oxygen sensor. i belived your bad sensor is on the passenger side by the exhaust manifold but if not try the drivers side all the oxygen sensor for this van are the same. you need to go under the van to replace it, if is to hard to get it out turn your van for five minutes then turn it off and try again, be carefull not to burn your self. the one close to the catalytic converter is the downstream oxygen sensor ok, good luck!!!!!!

Diagram oxygen sensor

With a single exhaust, one in each y-pipe leg, one for each bank. Sensor 1 bank 1, sensor 1 bank 2. Sensor 2 should be after the cat. Sorry, I don't have decent picture.
