Heat it up gently with a propane torch and apply grease when you get it nice and hot. If it still won't take grease at the top repeat the heating with a little very judicious tapping with a small hammer and then hit it again with the grease gun. Sometimes it'll take a few minutes but the heat, tapping, grease sequence will do it eventually.

Grab a grease gun with a needle fitting. Puncture your ball joint boots and grease them internally. They might just be dry and the fitting might not be getting grease where needed. Try that.

Gear Stiff On 1995 Chevy Lumina

I think this is an actual cable which hangs up in cold weather..find the cable ends under the hood near both the transmission and the steering column end.. each end should have a rubber cover on it..take a can of wd40 spray lube put the little red tube into the spray nozzle of the can.. insert the end of the red tube under the rubber boot and spray a few seconds worth of this into the booth coating it really well...then without starting the car(turn the key to the run position to unlock the system) slowly work the shifter up and down between gears and you should feel it work easier as you move it up and down..do this each time it becomes harder to work the shifter..also do the base of the column where it comes to the outside of the car body..road dirt and grit build up here and cause stifness also..

I have a 1992 lexus the gas pedal stopped working when i was on high way the car was still on but would not move .had it towed home now when i try to start it or i wanted to just move it back in drive

First the throttle, the cable may have come off the throttle body. Power steering, my 95 es300 had the same problem. It was the high pressure line. The way to fix that is to get a 6' high pressure line, cut your old fittings off both "ends" , have a shop put the fittings on the new hose and re-route, re-feed the now solid one piece line as needed. Hope that helps

They are sealed in with plastic. I use a torch to burn it it out. I broke my press trying to push them out.

Have you checked the steering fluid? If that is good, it may be the pump

Steering noisy and stiff

The belt is loose or dirty or the pullys are of a different V Degree. Check all of these things

Speedometer Stops

Most cars Speedometer cable connect to one of the front wheels, but you said your speedometer sometimes stop then your steering wheel will go stiff, I think you should fix or change your speedometer cable, maybe the cable broken inside. Fix it as soon as possible for your safety.

Speedometer cable has two parts, one is outside cable, mounted and connect to both speedometer and wheel.

The other one is an inside steel cable, outside cable protects the inside cable, because the inside cable turns as soon as you move the car. It is directly connect to the wheel gears and the speedometer inside.

If your car has speedometer cable, I think you need check it right away.

Your steering wheel sometimes stiff, you also need to check your power steering fluid level, sometimes cause this kind problem.

Hope this can help you and if you have more questions, please use whatever the Fixya allowed, contact me to discuss this matter and others. Thank you.
