I have a GMC Envoy 2004 and have a feeling that I do have the same problem with you. I just noticed it that whenever i turn off the engine there is a thud! that you can hear. I npoticed too that whenever i am driving there is a vibration going on intermittently but i dont know where its comin from. I have a strange feeling that it is in the engine? I can feel it from the gas pedal.

Sounds like you have a loose or dry rotted exhaust hanger, i know it sounds crazy, but it could be the exhaust rattling you hear.

go to the tail pipe of the truck, and with your foot push on the tail pipe, if you have more than 1 inch of movment this is your problem.

1990 Cadillac deville was running fine today, then after a long drive uphill it began to vibrate/shudder when accelerating from stop or low speed if gas applied strongly. No problem at high speed, just...

I would check the fuel pressure, sounds like a fuel delivery problem...possible dirty fuel filter. The vibration is probably due to a missfire. Have you had had a tune up lately? Check for vacuum leaks. I hope this helps.

I have engine vibration in 2004 Trailblazer. Vibrates when at a stop. Some vibration when in nutrel, but really bad when put into drive. Had motor mounts replaced. Replaced the plugs and coil packs. ...

Good call on the engine mounts, this problem has had a lot of TB owners scratching their head. Hope you used genuine GM mounts, aftermarket mounts tend to crush too much sending you back with the same problem you started with. With aftermarket mounts, the engine will not be as high as needed, the rubber isn't as stiff. Seen this many times. The other thing to check is you tranny mounts. Engine and tranny mounts are usually the culprit with vibration while in gear and stopped with TB's. What type of plugs did you install? Have you cleaned your throttle body?

Vibration in low gear

could be a number of things unfortunately.........firstly, it could be a misfire, now even though these are more common over the whole rev range (not just on start off), it cannot be ruled out.........secondly, it could be engine/transmission mounts, if these are worn/cracked or broken, you will feel a vibration/knock on take off, but you would also tend to feel it at each gear change........and thirdly as you suspect it could be the transmission

now for the diagnosis, the questions i am going to ask is :-
1. does the car get serviced regularly (has it had a tune-up), remember it is over 10 years old, and things will be wearing out....
2. is the transmission oil red in color and smells sweet...if yes, then i do not suspect the transmission, but if it is brownish and smells burnt then it would be a high chance that the clutches are wearing in the transmission causing the bands to shudder

im sorry i cant give you more of a definite answer at this stage, but if you would like to provide more info, i could narrow it down for you,

I HAVE A 98 TOWN AND COUNTRY LSI.6 CYL 3.8 THE TRANS START TO SHUDDER BETWEEN 45 AND 50 AFTER THE CAR GETS WARM (ENGINE) IT STOPS WHEN I LET UP ON THE GAS.CAN YOU HELP.

vibrations can occur on front wheel drive vehicles from the CV Joint   it is similar to a universal joint   if the rubber boot around it ruptures and water gets in it can seize and cause vibrations that would become noticeable at certain speeds    I have also seen vehicles that have the main bearing in the engine have wear that would cause vibration in the engine itself

08 accord ex-v6 auto. engine vibration @ idle in park or (gear at stop) when engine is cold to warm until it fully warms. dealer states it's normal. dealer showed me another accord with similar shake.???...

I've got an 08 4cyl and it doesn't really have the vibration unless its really cold. Usually if I give it about 30 seconds...when the rpms start to come down, its barely noticeable.

Power Steering pump appears to be leaking but is full????

Just guessing. Could it be a warped brake disk? That would cause vibration. And vibration in steering might conceivably cause splashing out the power steering reservoir. You would know if the disk were warped by a shudder when you brake at hight speeds.
