You will need a pressure tester for this. the instructions are in the box and very easy to understand. usually, you connect the pressure tester to the fuel line line by detaching the external fuel filter or maybe there is a point for testing the line close to the intake manifold. follow the fuel line from the tank under the car if you are not sure. it's the biggest one of the two generally

Hesitancy sputter

Hello My Friend, hate to see you having problems with your vehicle! May i suggest you try this one procedure to check your fuel pump pressure while accelerating the engine to 2000 RPM. Electric fuel pumps start by-passing after so many miles of being used. And they show this in a strange and confusing way. Only way to catch this is by connecting a fuel gauge to the fuel rail of your truck and accelerate it to 2000 RPM, or what ever stage it stumbles. Your fuel pressure should hold steady at 55-60 PSI. If it drops down as you accelerate you need to replace the fuel pump in your tank. And this problem should go away. Hope this all works out for you Sir....

Sounds like your fuel pump starting to die. It is not getting enough gas under heavy acceleration which is 100% fuel pump slowly dying. At start up it might not be building up enough fuel pressure to feed the system but the shot of ether and engine cranking helps pressure the system just enough for the fuel pump to trickle the gas and run the engine at low rpms.

1988 Mercedes Benz 300E 3.0L Gasoline F.I. ''Sputtering at Idle

ok..you must have more than one car???? you don't drive the 300 atall im guessing. #1 start car drive up the road and \back to your house. #2 let it idle till problem starts. #3 once it does start with the problem keep it alive with the gas pedal. #4 once your have it safely from dying in higher rpms "rev it" like a kid would, you know like if you were gonna race some one lol. be careful not to over rev or damage engine. you should do this for five minutes no longer than that. #5 let it idle for another 5 minutes. #6 repeat every day until problem with idling decipates. it took mine 3 300e like 3 days of this. if your not going to drive the car once you get the problem out of the way. turn the car on everyday and let it idle for 5 minutes atleast and take it for a short drive once a week. they get lonelly you know lol. later on you can just turn the car on every 2 -3 days and let it idle but still take it on a short drive atleast once a week

It stahls when i accelerate

may be the exhaust is blocked has the car got allot of km on it?
if so it may be worth your whill undoing the exhaust from the flange on the manifold and giving it a rev this will rule out a blockage.
if the car reves and runs ok you may need a new cat converter our muffler

good luck
