Sounds like you broke it underneath where the wipers arms hook up there is a plastic bushing under there and they **** all it takes is the wipers to be frozen to the windshield and it could break there may be a cover at the bottom of the windshield on the outside of the car may come off with screws and clips or both check under there sometimes your lucky and you can put it back on

The wipes want move up or down but I hear the motor and the fuse is good

If the motor can be heard running, either the wiper transmission linkage has seperated at/near the wiper motor or one of the two wiper pivots has seized not allowing the linkage to operate properly. If you can move one or more wiper arms by hand with the motor in the "off" position, it will most likely be a linkage seperation. WIth the wiper motor in the "on" position, if you can make the wiper arms move together, most likely a seized pivot

Wipers not working

Hello,

check the wipe fuse. If it is okay, it means problem is from the wiper engine inside the bonnet.

The wiper engine needs to be replaced if it is not a fuse problem.

Good luck.

Is there a relay switch that controls the wipers moving back and forth?

There is a fuse that controls the wipers. Make sure you hear the motor kicking on and off. If it is kicking on, the motor may be shot. If the fuse and motor is good, it may be your wiper swich.

97 jimmy wiper motor relay fuse problem hear motor running and wipers don't go. fuse or motor?

if u hear motor not elect problem -most likely linkage unbolted from motor with motor running try to move the wiper arms if move freely than need to remove cowl and check the linkage hook up to motor -if wipers dont move freely than possible motor damage/seized linkage damaged but still would have to look under cowl at connection at linkage

Snow was on windshield. i mistakenly turned on wipers before clearing snow. The wipers started to go up and stopped. Now the wipers won't do anything. The part that has the spring will rotate by hand and...

Does the wiper motor run? If you can hear the wiper motor run, the wipers arms may have disconnected from the wiper motor, you will have to remove the wiper arms, and the plastic cover to access the wiper motor, and check for damaged parts. If your wiper motor does nothing at all, you probably blew a fuse do to the resistance on the arms, refer to your owners guide for fuse panel, and fuse locations. hope this helps

Wipers wont work

1.  Turn on your wipers and pop your hood.   2.  If you hear you wiper motor, then you do not need to check your fuses. 3.  If your wiper arms are moving freely, then your linkage from the wiper arms to the motor is disconnected and possibly broken.   4.  If the problem is electrical, do the following:      1.  Check the fuse, and check for power at the fuse.      2.  Check the wiper motor for ground. For a complete circuit, you need power going in and ground               coming out.  Check electrical connections for corrosion or poor connections.       3.  Get a wiring schematic and trace power to the wiper motor starting at the fuse box in the                       following order:           Fuse box           wiper switch           wiper motor      4.  In the rarest of cases a wiper motor or wiper switch is at fault.  I do not recommend replacing                 anything unless you have proof that the part is faulty. (ie. power going into the switch but nothing           coming out.)

Windshield Wipers

Under the cowl (it is a plastic piece that the windshield wipers come out of) are the wiper arms that connect to the wiper motor. There are plastic parts that hold the wiper arms to the wiper motor. Lots of time these plastic parts dry out and break and the wiper arm will fall off the wiper motor. I would bet if you tried to move one of the wipers by hand both of them would move with little resistance. This would tell me that the wiper arms are disconnected from the wiper motor. The parts to fix this are easy to get. I know the motormite HELP line of parts used to have the plastic bushings to fix this problem.
