SOURCE: i'm trying to jump a battery using a pontiac g5....

There is no battery in the world that does not have a negative terminal. but, the negative lead of the jumper should be connected to any solid metal bracket on the engine (on both vehicles) Stay away from drive belts.

SOURCE: Remote start function on remote doesn't work

Replace battery first and see if that help, if not then follow steps below, if you cant figure it out or it still doesn't work, or take it to the dealer, it could be remote module is faulty. Keep the windows open as a safety measure, then,

Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.

Remove the BCM PRGRM fuse from the fuse panel. Refer to Fuse Block in Wiring Systems.

Close all of the doors.

Close the liftgate.

Turn the ignition lock cylinder to ACC.

Turn the ignition lock cylinder to OFF, & then back to ACC within 1 second.

Open & close any vehicle door. A chime will be heard when the system enters the BCM programming/diagnostic mode.

After 7 seconds, a chime may be heard confirming successful synchronization. It is necessary to wait approximately 14 seconds for a second chime that will confirm successful programming.

Press & hold the transmitter LOCK & UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 14 seconds.

Repeat the previous step on each additional transmitter to be programmed.

Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.

Install the BCM PRGRM fuse back into the fuse panel. Refer to Fuse Block in Wiring Systems.

I had your exact problem. My fix was resoldering the battery contact where it mates on the circuit board of the remote. ( It should be connected at 3 places ) The center and left were not making contact. only the panic button side was. Works like new now. btw while its apart use a pencil eraser to clean the button contacts.

SOURCE: Jumped started Audi 2001 TT, due to dead battery, now radio dead

You will need to enter the anti theft radio lock code. I would check the manual for the operation. On my VW it was on a sticker in the truck. Also check with an Audi dealer for exact location.

2007 Pontiac G5 radio display is dead

Based on the information that you have provided. There's a possibility that there is a loose wire/connection possibly in the back of the radio. You would probably have to access the back of the radio and check the wiring harness.

My engine light was on in my Pontiac G5 I was gone get checked but the next day my car doesn't turn on at all no light or nothing plus my keys are stuck

It sounds like your car battery is dead. If you connect another car as if you were going to jump-start your car - you ought to be able to remove the key - or crank the engine to start it.

You didn't include the year of your G5, so I don't know about recalls for it - as there seems to be one for the 2009 - linked below:

Can i jump start my 2008pontiac g5 from the front of the car

You should have a steel bolt coming up by the relay box that is your positive terminal for your battery, then connect to any unpainted metal to ground and presto there is a jumper spot .... or if you have a manual get it rolling put it into first when you have it rolling at a 5 km/h rough speed and release the clutch and start the car at the same time

Pontiac G5 only starts when jumped. Battery tested out fine, Alternator tested out fine. Not running any codes...Now what?

Was the battery "load tested"? lotso f auto parts stores just test for 12 Volts across the terminals. You ned to have it load tested. Thats where a load simulating the starter is put on the battery. I have a carbon pile tester that places 500 Amps on the battery. many times I have seen a battery show 12 Volts and fail the load test due to a dead cell.

If it's a side terminal battery, it's really hard to get a good clean connection.

I'm trying to jump a battery using a pontiac g5. where should i put the negative clamp of the jumper cable? the battery only has a positive post.

Place the negative cable on the frame of the car to ground it. It's best to do this even when there is a negative post present to protect the car and the alternator.

2007 Pontiac G5 will not start

This is why it's not a good idea to use jumper cables on a newer car or truck. Those power packs are the preferred way of jump starting a car nowadays. You probably blew out the body control module and power train module in yours with the voltage drop from the dead battery. You'll need to contact your insurance company and a competent mechanic to get this car running again. In the meantime, check the fuses under the hood to make sure none of these are blown. You might get lucky there, but this is serious. The electrical system is expensive to work on in a modern car because of the electronics.
