Question about 1989 Ford Thunderbird
I have a 1986 for t bird and some times it will crank others it wont and when it wont the fuel pump dont kick on when the switch is on and also it dont get no spark but every thing else comes on and it will turn over please help me!!!!
Hey, thanks for the suggestion, but i deffinately know its not the alternator. its most likely the fuel pump, but im not exactly positive. thanks anyways, but u got anymore suggestions?

Have you had the alternator checked? I had a tbird doing something similar and it turned out the alternator went bad on me.

It "won't crank?" Meaning, it won't turn over, or it won't ignite?
If it won't turn over, then it is likely the battery or starter or ignition switch.
If it does crank (turn over) but won't start, and you are specifically not getting any fuel nor spark, then it is likely the hall effect sensor (see "control module" and "pickup coil"). It is two pieces, both on the distributor. Total cost will be around $50 ~ $75 or so.
You'll have to take the distributor out to get to the device, then set timing to complete the job.
