Using a flat blade tool like a small flat blade screwdriver, release retaining clip on arm rest and pull armrest from seat. slip the screwdriver between seat back and armrest and pry up on the retaining clip.

How do I take off the arm rests of captains chairs in the second row of my 2006 sienna?

Wrong approach

The vehicle seats are not the problem

How about teaching the kids respect & discipline

I'm not spending 30 thousand dollars for some child to
argue over my seats, straighten them out or they will
get worse

Once you remove the arm rests, they will find something
else to do, just to work you to the breaking point

In the down position try pushing real hard into the seat ( as if you were trying squeeze them together.) as you are pulling up on arm rest.

The arm rest does not move to a parallel position

Un zip the cover on the armrest and pull it up to expose the bolt hole. unbolt and remove the arm rest and see what parts are damaged, sometimes it can just be tightened.

Removing front headrest from 1995 bmw328i

howzit.

to do this you need to remove two plastic pins that hold it. it is a good idea to put the leaner s on the front seats right down and leaver it with a screw driver. why are you removing the arm rest? with the arm rest removed the centre console is going to look ugly

Heated seats not working and drivers power seat not working. what do I need to repace?

the fuse is located under the back seat behind the driver. it is one of the large silver fuses (there is one for the left and one for the right) under the black cover with a picture of the battery on it and lift the black fuse cover off of that. check inside the top cover for the fuse locations.

I have not had a problem with the seat actually going on by itself. The location of the switch is horrible in that if you use the arm rest for what it was intended (resting your arm on it) you are likely to activate the heaters. I have to warn all of my "new" passengers of this wonder in engineering.
