Question about Cadillac Escalade ESV

1 Answer

As with this gentlemen, after warm-up I get no warm air from the rear heater when either controlled from the front console or the rear. The front unit fan seems to be working poorly as well and flutters on the top two fan settings. It sounds like the ventillation may be at least partially plugged. Terry tprang@telus.net

Most caddilacs have a filter under the wiper plate that filters out all the junk leaves and debris. first thing is to make sure the coolant is full, as the high temps make liquids dissapate. once you have done this, then I would check the restricted fan, or possibly the fan resistor, this resistor controls the amount of voltage to the fan and gives you multiple speeds.

Front heater blows cold air but the rear heater blows warm air

What about on defrost, do you get the proper temperature in the front, if you do it is probably a blend door issue controlled by the blend switch or knob.

How do I get the front heater to produce warm, hot heat from the blower? for 2003 kia sedona

First I would check your radiator fluid level, sometimes being low can have this effect. Usually the rear heaters sit at a lower level and so keep working. If that is fine, then you probably have an issue with the diversion door or controller that controls the hot/cold mixture.

04 TAHOE Front A/C works great, Rear A/C blows warm. Seems like something isnt shutting the flow of hot water to the back??

Hi Jason.
Sounds like you are on the right track with the flow of hot coolant not stopping. Check your heater control valve to make sure it is stopping the flow of coolant through the rear heater core. Let me know. Hope this helps.

2001 tahoe front heater not working, rear heater blows warm air

Notorious for plugged heater cores. Also updated plastic restriction couplers mounted at heater core available from dealer. Try back flushing heater core. Run engine till its at operating temperature then carefully hold the inlet and outlet hose breifly with heater fan on high if hoses are nearly the same temp then flow is good , if not then core is plugged.
