Do you hear the relay click when you try to turn on the heat? If you do not hear it clicking then you may have a bad connection or a bad relay. The blower motor is a pain to take out. If you hear the relay clicking THEN check for power on the purple wire that plugs in to the fan (just under the ECM passenger side) You should have battery voltage with blower set to HI. Wiggle those wires good where they connect to the fan IF it shows battery voltage. I fixed mine by doing that then giving the fan housing a good hard thump with my hand. Has not missed a lick since. Still does not work and you have voltage on the purple wire.. verify you have a good ground. Old connections corrode and can cause problems. Now if none of the above helps you probably need a new fan and its a pain to get out. You have to remove the ECM first to get the cover off... a 1/4 inch socket set with some extensions and swivels and small hands helps. If you go to all the trouble to pull the fan go ahead and replace it with a new one. Verity it works before installing it tho. Double check your ground wire..if needed tap in to that black wire and find a good metal ground point for a FRESH ground.

Unplug the front axle actuator. Replace the fuse. Put in four wheel drive. Did the fuse blow? If not replace the front axle actuator.

2002 gmc 1500 sierra starter clicks but wont turn over. Have checked fuses, charged battery, tried jump starting all it does is you can here solinoid click but starter wont turn. I did turn heater fan on...

Replace the starter, the solenoid cant engage the starter because it is locked up, hence the extreme voltage drop with the fan when you try to start it with the fan on.

1993 gmc sierra knocking noise under dash when first turning it on and after turning it off

Gear is broken on the recirculate door. Just disconnect it and the racket will stop. Fixing it is a pain. Get at the problem by going in thru the glovebox..turn on your switch and you will see the offending part.

HEATER FAN QUIT WORKING. IS THERE FUSES?

Yes, the heater fan does have a fuse. If the fuse isn't blown, there's a sensor in the duct work behind the glove box under the dash that controls the fan speeds that you can check.

I have a 2005 Gmc Sierra. The fan doesnt work anymore and I checked the fuse and its fine. How hard is it to replace the relay?

When you say fan I assume that you are talking about the heater fan?? The fuse and relay are usually plug in modules. Fuses are usually under the dash and relays and some fuses are under the hood in a large black box on top of the drivers side fender. A description of fuses and relays is on the inside of the lid that you take off. If replacing them doesn't work then time for a new fan.

1993 GMC Sierra 4x4, no brake lights, no rear running lights

If you still have this problem maybe this will help. I had to replace the trailer plug on a 93 GMC Sierra K1500 and had a problem with the light's not working. Had to trace wires from trailer plug up to tail lights. The problem was a broken ground wire. It took longer to remove all the tape and replace it than fixing the problem.
