Question about Chevrolet Impala

2 Answers

I have a 2003 Chevy Impala 3.4L, and when I try to start it, it won't stay running, and white smoke bellows from the tail pipe. Then the battery drained with less than 6 tries of starting it. Then a clicking sound came from the speakers, as the lights flashed. Can this be fixed without a priest? Someone please help me

The white smoke is a really bad symptom. Massive amounts, often sweet smelling, is coolant in the combustion chamber. Sergery is needed, and NOT just replace a head gasket. Something is cracked or warped.

You can pressure test the cooling system.
one major clue is if you try to start and the engine will not turn over. Liquid will not compress and that hydro locks the engine. If you continue to try, you break piston rings.

I suggest that you investigate right away.

White smoke coming out of my tail pipe and my temperature gauge goes pass half in my 1999 Chevy malabu.it runs good

White smoke usually means oil in the mixture somewhere. Could be a head gasket issue. I'd see a local mechanic.

It blows white smoke out the tail pipe when i start it

You must have a leaking engine cylinder head gasket. Have a local shop confirm this for you as it is a very expensive repair.

"2003 Chevy Impala won't start". Car would not

The alternator is not charging,or the battery wont take a charge. If all accessories work fine when its running after you've boosted it,its likely the battery.

I have white smoke coming from my tailpipe in my 01 chevy impala, also engine coolant is leaking on the right side of the radiator where a little white smoke comes out if the car is running for about 10...

I have an 01 Impala 3.8 engine. At first start-up white smoke is seen, smells like raw gas, and tail pipe is black as coal. Fuel milage isn't good either. Would the regulator be bad?

White smoke comes out of my tail pipe in my 92 chevy p/u and it runs like ****

Hello my name is Ben. You most likely have a leaking head gasket. The gasket leak is allowing coolant into the combustion chamber which is why you see the white smoke.
