Question about 2005 Ford Five Hundred
Well, power to lights and windows is not really an indication that there is enough power for the starter. However, the fact that jumping it doesn't start the engine either, tells me that the starter may have gone bad, or is on a bad spot.
How much amperage is drawn when trying to start? close to zero or over 125 amps while the starter doesn't turn is abnormal and requires a new starter.
Normally, the starter should draw about 75 to 125 Amps and turn vigorously.
The only other thing I could think of is maybe there's a problem with the security system that cuts off electricity to the starter.
Good luck on this repair.
