You may want to have your alternator and battery tested. Many auto parts stores will test free of charge.

Why will the battery light stays on

It is usually alternator trouble, but there are some rare cases where battery and alternator are okay but there is a loose or corroded joint in the wiring harness between the battery and the area where the battery light gets its voltage signal; this is usually downstream of a large bulkhead multipoint plug near the fusible links etc. The resistance from a bad connection at this point causes a loss of voltage due to the current flowing to the fuel injection pump, a/c, lights etc. It gets worse and when bad enough it will stall you. Get it identified by a competent auto electric shop before it strands you.

Battery light flashing

The battery light on, is an indication of alternator failure. If your battery is more than 3 years old it needs replacement . A bad battery can damage a new alternator (full field condition). The age of your truck warrants inspection of the charging system. It requires at Least 20 amps output, from the alternator to run the engine.

Dead battery, ford says it is the alternator, battery is 4.5 years old, never had an alternator problem before

The battery life is near its end too. It can be the alternator, jump start your car, and remove the jumper cables, if the engine cuts out it is the alternator. If it keeps goind for a while and the battery indicator light is off, it is the battery.

Check your rear end to see if you have a sensor like in this video, if so it could solve some issues. The video describes items all going out around the same time. Its based on a 2 wheel drive but who knows you might have the same sensor in the same location. This is a shot in the dark, but who knows it might help or point you in the right direction.

Check your operator's manual. Make sure any and all fuses that have anything to do with the affected items are not blown and are working properly. If you can; check for loose fuse connections or wires. Hope this helps. God bless!

Curious what the output should be for alternator 2003 ford focus

SOUNDS LIKE AN ALTERNATOR PROBLEM THE SYSTEM IS NOT RECHARGING ITS SELF AS IT SHOULD AND THEREFORE IT IS DRAINING THE LIFE OUT OF YOUR BATTERY AND WILL EVENTUALLY KILL THE NEW BATTERY TOO.

Battery

The easiest solution to your problem is your alternator is failing.

Beyond that, the battery itself may be bad - or there could be a phantom drain that has to be sniffed out.

Have the battery and alternator load tested to verify they are ok.

Any parts store will do it free.
