1985 AE82 4AC Toyota Corolla

Recently i noticed my windscreen wipers and horn weren't working. So we changed the corrosponding fuse but then when we started it and revved it, it stalled and wouldnt idle. So we changed the ___________ tube and it idled again. Now sometimes, at least a couple of times a week, it won't start and the battery sounds dead. Once i connect a battery pack it starts, but the battery is in good condition. An auto electronic looked at it for me but couldnt diagnose a problem, but thinks the yellow and black wire may be a problem. Does anyone have any idea what the yellow and black wire is for, where it leads to, or does anyone have a wiring diagram??? Any assistance is greatly appreciated

YOU HAVE AN EARTHING PROBLEM MOST LIKELY A FAULTY EARTH STRAP BETWEEN THE ENGINE BLOCK AND THE CAR BODY [THIS IS A SEPARATE THICK CABLE OR FLAT BRAIDED CABLE WHICH IS ATTACHED AT ONE END TO THE ENGINE BLOCK - USUALLY ON THE CYLINDER HEAD, AND THE OTHER END ATTACHED TO THE FIREWALL OR CHASSIS RAIL] IF THIS WIRE IS BROKEN OR THE ENDS ARE CORRODED OR LOOSE THEN YOU WILL GETTHE SORT OF SYMPTOMS YOU DESCRIBE.

RUN A NEW CABLE FROM ANY POINT ON THE ENGINE BLOCK TO A PART OF THE BODYWORK AND SEE IF THAT CURES YOUR PROBLEMS

My 2009 toyota corolla's wipers dont work when it gets cold .

Hi, suggest you buy a tin of WD40 & spray the fuses & any connections (wiring) if you can get to rear connections of the windscreen wiper motor spray that as well this will solve all the problems I know this through experience. Please give feedback at [email protected] Thanks, Malcolm Campbell.

2005 toyota corolla horn doesn't work

You can replace the horn. Check to see if the wires connected to the horn have power. Check with a test light. If power is present then the horns are bad.

Toyota Corolla 1993:\r\nMy windscreen wipers don't work, all of a sudden they started to die. I replaced the windscreen wiper motor and I tried to attach it to the power socket and it did work but when...

It is possible that you tightened the bolts for the arms themselves to much and it is to much resistance for the motor. Try loosening the bolts a bit and see if that helps. Aside from that make sure that you are getting a full 12V to the plug by testing it with a multimeter for DC Voltage. Hope this helps you.

Horn plus rear windscreen wiper not working

i presume you mean wiper water pump... first locate the relays for the horn and rear wiper and replace them... usually found in the fuse panel under the dash... then fill up the rear water resevoir for the back wiper and try it again.

Electical

You may have some short circuits in your wiring, a bad horn relay or horn unit, and/or a bad wiper motor. Hard to tell without actually looking at it.
Try this:
Disconnect the horn, and try another fuse. Does it blow? If not, the horn is shorted, and needs replaced. If it blows, remove the horn relay & try another fuse. Same with the wiper motor, unplug it and try another fuse. If it does not blow, you need a wiper motor.
