Battery has a electrical draw on it

Are you familiar with removing battery cable from battery + and installing a 12 volt test light from cable end to battery post ? If the light is on bright, you have a good draw. Now start removing fuses you suspect may be causing the draw, and when light goes real dim, or out, you found the circuit with the draw. Keep in mind radio memory will cause small draw as well. Just keep track of where they came from.

Hello. Yes. the black wire is the ground wire. It goes from the frame to the negative post of the battery. The red wire is the hot wire and it goes to the positive post.

Where is the starter and the starter cable

The starter is in the rear of the engine, bolted on the drivers side.the positive cable will take you to it or the fuse box.iIt may be in the front of the engine, the positive cable that does'nt go to the starter should tell you the differance.Follow the cable from the positive post that does'nt go to the engine compartment fuse box and it will take you there.

Need to charge battery on my chevy venture. Please show me how

Okay... One can not see the negative battery terminal so.... Connect the negative clip from your charger to the chassis and then remove the RED plastic cover in front of the black relay box above the battery OR the plastic cover from the positive battery terminal and connect the positive cable. Make sure you have good connections by watching the meter on your charger. Then plug in the charger and turn it on. Charge time depends on the strength of your charger. I'm going to go hook mine up again because I need to go out for a bit. I don't think I'm going to like changing this battery..... Just thought I'd share..... Good luck.

Replace positive battery cable 97 montero

A lot of cars have two cables on the positive post.
Do you need to replace the cables or is the battery post clamp broken. You can buy a replacement post clamp if you have the type of cables that are bolted to the clamp.
If you need the cable, a oem replacement from your dealer parts counter will match. You can get after market replacements, just look for one that matches your original as close as possible. The parts counter guy should be able to help.

Mazda 6 wont turn over, and all dials go mad.is it battery or starting motor,or something else.

Check the battery positive cable there is a problem with the positive side of the battery cracking open and corroding the cable. You may need to just replaced the battery and cable if the corrosion hasn't gone to deep in the cable.

1993 Ford Explorer battery was stolen and they cut all the cables

which wires ? the ones connected to the battery? or the wiring harness? if it's the battery cables then the large wire is the positive side normally red and the negative side is black and is half the size of the positive wire. The battery will have a + and a - on it so you know that the positive wire is + the larger wire and the smaller is black.

Battery replacement in a 1995 miata

Is there not a red lead going to one side of your battery. That should be the positive. Or look for the one going to your starter. That should be the positive.
