You have to remove the intake manifold off to get to plugs 1,3,5. 2,4,6 are in the front with the ignition coils on them. Dealership wanted $600 to do the job. I am no mechanic but was able to do it. Time comsuming!

Replaced coil pack on 2005 dodge neon but it still won't start

Put a spark tester on the spark plug wire and see if there is any spark even coming to the plugs. If there isn't, you will need a qualified Tech to look at the problem...sometimes it is worth the price to have them diagnosis even if you decide to do the work latter, yourself.

Spark plug wires

Because of the air plenum that site on top of the engine (6 cylinder) changing the spark plug wires and spark plugs is very difficult on these models. Sadly, the easiest way is to remove the air plenum on top and even the winshield wiper cowling section due to the location of the wires and plugs. If you aren't a mechanic, or have the tools, you may want to forego this task. I believe the wires and spark plugs should be changed about once every 70-80,000 miles on these models.
