Check for a blown fuse for the igntion, it's a common problem.

Trying to start the vehicle is there spark ? Your vehicle has plugs under center of valve cover .Pull the coil pack out , get plug wire cable set and use a spark tester . Check for spark . If plugs were no good you probably fried the ICM - ignition control module . Do you know what and where ICM is ? chec for bad wires or connections--ignition module maybe worn or computer has issue--dont replace parts til u du test--there are maxifuses in engine area--get a troublshoot book for that model

Pull off the coil ignition cable at the distributor and check for spark coming out of coil when cranking engine over. Use a heavy rag or glove to hold the wire 1/4 inch from a metal ground. Should see a strong blue spark when cranking to verify ignition is good. If no spark, check for battery voltage to coil on the coil primary. If you have current to the coil, suspect a bad coil, ignition module, crank position sensor, or cam position sensor, or pcm. The coil, ignition module, and sensors can be tested before replacing.

Yes but that's an inertia switch that shuts down the fuel pump if your in an accident it's possible but I don't this so you must remember which side you hit the puddle with R/L you could've shorted out the ignition module the coil pack or the computer check for spark ground out a spark plug wire to the engine and see if you get spark wear rubber gloves because if there is spark it's 40,000 volts and you'll look like harpo marx after check the coil for incoming voltage first if there is check for it coming out with the test I just described if no spark you hit the lottery replace the coil if no voltage is coming into the coil from the module and computer side check the module for + voltage in if so then check the wires going to the coil if none the module shorted out if no voltage is coming into the module then your computer is gone but I hope not I think it's your coil but you must check all good luck Stephen

if it doesnt even click over straight nothing at all ....
battery is no go at all
1.if it starts off a jump.....
altinater could be bad...take positive battery terminal off battery while car is on ...if it stays running its good if car dies altinaters bad.
2.if its good replace battery with brand new one....
3.if the cars battery is brand new and car acts like it wants to start real bad but wont...
if you have gas in the vehicle and it sounds like it dont ... your ecm is bad electronic control module or ICM ignition control module.....its the brain the spark

Car wont start i have a new battery, new spark plugs and wires

It need to have fuel and sparks to start.
Have you check to see if there is spark after all new parts?
If there is spark, then check if it has fuel.

To check spark, hold 1 spark plug touching engine chasis while cranking, if there is no spark then problem with the coils or ignition module.
To check fuel, after cranking several times but no firing, take out a spark plug to see if it wet.
If it is dry then no fuel. For this, problem could be following in order:
-Fuel filter
-Fuel pump
-Fuel pressure regulator
- Fuel injectors
- Fuel injector module.
Need to go through troubleshooting step by step before changing the parts to correct a problem. Good luck in finding a good mechanic to test before spending money in costly partts replacement.

I'm not sure if you have 1 or more coil packs, but if you get a Chilton manual, it'll tell you how to check primary and secondary circuits on each of the coils. You can also take the coils out and take them to Autozone and they can check them for you. A quick and easy way would be to take the spark plug end of one spark plug wire off, hold the electrode with a pair of WELL INSULATED pliers,( Only touch the insulated handle, not the metal on the pliers) hold it about 1/4 inch from a good metal ground, then have someone try to turn the engine over. If you're getting spark, you'll definitely see the sparking from the electrode to the ground. FYI Only take one plug wire off at a time to prevent mixing them up and make sure you keep your hands and other body parts away from anything that could hurt you. There is also a control module that, if bad, can make it so the car won't start. This can also be checked at Autozone for free.
