check the radiator for fluid levels add as needed also it sounds as if it may be running too rich or lean check the obvious first such as air filter and broken cracked wires lines hoses etc a tune up sounds in order fuel filter also some garages will diagnose the issue for free sounds though as if you need a bit of maintenance at this point

Its easy, The only tool you need is a plastic lever tool. Or can be done with big head screw driver (but car for the trims for it can get damaged)
Lever both side vents out, then pull on the trim gently outwards. (long piece from glove box to the end of the radio before the instrumental dash panel) Then pull the main inturmental dash out towards you as well. There may by plugs connected to the front panel. Disconnect that and it exposes the digital meter, I think it then takes only 2 x 10m bolts and the dash is out.

if it ran fine before belt change, you maybe off a tooth,I've been off a tooth with same engine had same symptoms along with erratic acceleration and poor gas mileage. Took off top cover, lined up no.1 tdc. and I was off 1 tooth at camshaft hole. was able to adjust without dismanteling everything. Loosen idler and you can get enough play to turn cam one cog. hope this helps.
