Question about 2001 Saturn L-Series
Saturns have a huge problem with the grease in the ignition switch. The never issued a recall though. The grease gets so thick and hard when it is cold, that the electrical contacts do not move with the key, and therefore either a: do not connect the starter wire, or b: the antitheft system does not get the "ok" signal and it thinks you are stealing your own car, and disables the starter and fuel pump. If I were the owner of your car, replacing the ignition switch is what I would do next.
