Question about 1993 Honda Accord

1 Answer

The primary radiator cooling fan on my 1993 HONDA Accord won't run. The fuses and relay are good and I checked the fan by running power directly to the fan plug. It ran just fine so the motor is fine. What other items do you suggest I check? Thanks

You need to check the the power going to the fan. Is the wiring going to the fan broken? Is there a bad ground wire? Did the power wire come undone from the harness? Check the wiring and let me know. I hope this helps

My car honda accord fans not working the car gets too hot what can I do

If you have checked all fuses and relays..and your fans are not coming on at all..most likely you have bad sensors that sense the temp of the water in the radiator..most are inserted into the radiator core..and to the fans and when the heat gets higher then their settings the fans come on and off when cool enough without them.. Need to have someone bypass the sensors.." Direct 12 volt to the fans" and if the fans run it is the sensors or fuse or relay..good luvk

I replaced thermostat in 2007 honda accord, still runs hot, fans do not come on

check power to fans at the relay which is in the fusebox under the hood ,check fuse itself if those are good then check the therno switch on the radiator fans should operate . inspect all connections in that loop

Have 97 honda accord 2.7 i've done everything, relays, fuses, temp sensors, radiator, jumped the fans with direct wire to battery, work fine, tried to run ac see what it would do but nothing ar all...

i am confused you have not mentioned your problem but it sounds like your engine cooling fan is not working? if so try replacing the cooling temp sending unit located on or near the thermostat housing. in fact disconnect it while engine is running and it should turn fan on in a few seconds.goodluck

I would suggest checking to make sure your electric fan(s) are turning on. When you are moving they may be enough air flowing through the radiator to cool it enough not to run extremely hot, but as soon as you stop and the air stops it heats up. Check the fan(s) to see if they turning on. If not, check the fuse block ad see if the fuse or relay for the fan is bad. Hope this helps.

1993 honda lx run cool while running ,but after it

check thermostat might be sticking or radiator may need flushing if it only heats up while idling check your electric fan may not be coming on try turning on the a/c the 2 cooling fans should come on then if they do then i would check the cooling fan switch if they do not come on when the a/c is switch on you may have a bad electric fan motor or wiring to the fan or fan relay
