The fuse box in the 06 ion is under the floor covering on the drivers side seat. Just move the seat all the way to the rear and then starting in the front near the pedals pull up the floor covering which is attached by velcro.

i would suggest checking the fuses to see if an accessory fuse has burned. The box with the fuses is under the dash on the driver's side, but there is a chance this system's fuse could be in the fuse box under the hood by the battery.
The two boxes are located (one; engine management and lighting circuits) under the hood by the battery and (two; in-cabin accessory and lighting) under the dash by the driver's legs.
I have a 2004 ION and the fuse is located behind the drivers side center console kick panel. The panel can be removed by tristing the large blastic screw near the left top of the kick panel. You can use a coin to do it. Once the panel is off relace fuse F20 and your god to go.
