There is a decal inside the driver side door sill that has the factory recommended tire size and also cold tire pressure PSI.

What size tire 4 1998

Hello, I want to recommend a site for its information. You do not have to buy a tire from them, but the information is good. There can be optional size rims for this Year and it came with 16" and 17" Rims. Go to DiscountTires.com and enter your vehicle in the appropriate window and the display will show you what your Expedition may have on it.

The site can be adjusted to find tires for any Season, can show you oversize tires that are possible, and what speedometer error a different oversize tire may have on your Vehicle. I believe yours may be 265/70/ R17's.

I hope my solution is very helpful to you.

What is the best tires at winter time?

A good "all season" tire would be your best choice - check out TireRack.com - you can look up your cars tire size and compare between dozens of brands and prices to chose from. (lots of customer reviews too)

What type of tire is recommended for a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT?

If the vehicle has the standard factory 16 inch wheels fitted you will need to purchase tires in the size: 225/50R/16. There are many brands and designs/models of tire available in that size. ( The size of tire currently fitted to your car is written on the sidewall of the tire).

There are many cheap and nasty tires on the market so go for a reputable brand and select a premium performance tire. Many cheap tires are poorly built and cannot be properly balanced so you will get a vibration through your steering wheel that any amount of tire re-balancing cannot correct. Often the cheap tires also offer very poor levels of grip and generate a lot of road noise when driving.

Always buy the very best tires you can afford.

Goodyear Eagle GT (all season tire) would be a sound selection and prices are reasonable.

Bridgestone RE 960 AS (all season tire) would also be a good selection.

My 2008 chev impala has been telling me to service my tire monitor system. I have just rotated back to all seasons which are the spec size for the car. The winter size I had on were 1 size smaller. I think...

One of the tire pressure sensors may have been incorrectly installed or there may be a problem with this systems control module.
I recommend you bring it back to the shop that sold you the tires and tell them the problem.
Remember 2008 is still under warranty ( if milage is applicable)

Can we use snow tires on it and if so what kind and size. for a 2007 mercury mountineer

Hello. Yes, snow tires will give you the best possible traction in winter driving conditions, better that all season. The size tire depends upon the size of your rim so go to a tire store and shop around. They will tell you what size your vehicle requires. As far as kind goes, I prefer Michelin but any brand name snow tire will work fine.
Kindly rate my answer as useful. Thank you.

Back tires sliding in the snow

Snow tires.

All season tires are jacks of all trades but masters of none. You might find that some all season tires are great in snow but then when you drive over wet snow or any ice it's like you're on your rims.

For your car I recommend Yokohama Iceguard. They aren't cheap but then body work and tow trucks aren't either.
