Question about Jeep Cherokee

1 Answer

My 1993 Jeep Cherokee Sport makes a moaning-and-grinding-like noise whenever I turn the heater on. At first it would stop making the noise after a few minutes in operation. Lately, however, the noise conitinues with only short lapses. Any suggestions? Please!

sounds like you have a problem with one of your lines on your power steering or one of its components. the grinding noise could also be one of your pulleys that have gone bad too. check your steering assemby gear box.

I have a 99 jeep cherokee sport. When making a sharp turn to the left I hear a rubbing sound coming from the left front tire area. There is currently a light squealing noise when stopping. Are the two...

Probably. Check your brake rotor and caliper. The brake pads may be worn down enough to make that noise. Brake pads are around $29 bucks for a set. And rotors are about the same each at Autozone. I just did mine recently and I am VERY happy now that my 99 Jeep cherokee stops right and doesn't make the rubbing noise when cornering, and the squealing noise when stopping. There you go! Happy Motoring!

Did you change the fluid first before you put it in? You might need to flush it out and put fresh fluid in it.
