Question about 1992 Honda Accord

1 Answer

My 1992 Honda accord will not start. I have checked the Fuel pressure and according to the book, it is up to par. I do not have any spark from the coil. I have checked the wires into the coil for voltage and The wires do have 12 volts going to the coil. I assumed it might be the Ignition switch, but now I can only assume that the Module is bad..Have I checked Everything? I was about to take the module out and have it checked and then I found this helpful site. I Need Your Help on this one!!!

What would cause my 1992 honda accord to stop without overheating, it does turn over like its trying to start

Your going to have to check for spark, Accords had problems with the igniter in the distributor, also check for fuel pressure 34-41 PSI, now when the igniter fails there is no spark and no fuel pressure because there is no power to the pump,

1992 Honda Accord will start and idle, but dies on acceleration and when put in gear. Cat is not plugged. New fuel filter installed. Please advise.

Sounds like the fuel pump. Have the fuel pressure checked with a Pressure Test Guage. Different cars have different fuel pressure requirements, but for a fuel injected vehicle should be somewhere in the area of 40-60 psi. Also check that fuel filter was not installed backwards, on some vehicles this can restrict fuel flow,

My 1992 accord will not start. cranks over but no spark to plugs and not getting any fuel.

no spark means bad coil, also check for cracked distributor cap. No fuel could mean fuel pump not gettin power or it is gone. or clogged fuel filter.l

MAKE YOU HEAR FUEL PUMP RUNNING WHEN TURN ON IGNITION KEY. IF NOT CHECK FUSE AND RELAY.IF YOU HEAR PUMP RUNNING. CHECK FUEL PRESSURE.IT SHOULD 36 TO 40 PSI.IF NOT REPLACE FUEL FILTER.IF FUEL PRESSURE IS STILL LOW FUEL PUMP IS BAD.
