Try putting it in park wit your foot on the brake then pull.If that fails and its auto transmission then the park solenoid is faulty.

Hi

I am assuming that the key lock button is not releasing the key ? please clarify?
Also are the wheel staright on the car? I mean is the steering pointed in a staight line? If not then the auto lock will not let you remove the key. Get hold of the stering wheel are turn it hard left or right which ever way the wheels are pointing, it feels a little stiff but do turn as hard as you can while at the same time jiggling the key out of the ignition.

If you need more info or think this is another type of fault get back to me.
Regards

Dan

How do i fix a key stuck in ignition?

spray with silicone, let set 5 min. use pliers to push in 1st than pull out but only very little like shaking it. after that try puling gently out. pins maybe stuck. if remover use straw and spray/soak inside of key cylinder. cover key with light coat of oil insert completely and remove several times with light oil. air compressor oil works good.
Good luck!

How to replace a 1984 Chrysler Lebaron ignition switch

the ignition switch is located under the dash on the steering column and is simple....
disconnect connector, remove to screws and replace switch

if however, you mean the ignition tumbler, the place where you put the key, then it a lot tougher

Ignition switch

You need to remove the shroud so you can see the whole lock assembly.Once this is removed you should see a little silver retainer pin. While pushing in on the pin, rotate the lock with the key in it, until you feel the pin drop in. At this point you can start to pull the lock out. You may need a torx driver to unscrew some of the bolts, but there are no special tools needed to actually remove the lock assembly , besides a working key.
