Changed battery in 2006 Ford Fusion and now the 6 disc CD player doesn't work. No pin hole on front of player to eject disc. Tried disconnecting battery for 5 minutes, didn't work. Radio works so still has power to unit. What else can I try?

Fixed it my self, Removed the radio took it apart and removed the disc put it back together and it works fine. Should have done this to begin with instead of wasting time with "Experts".

Welcome to Fixya

Is it asking to enter a code? Codes for car stereo's are not made public. Take your vehicle to a dealer. Show proof of owner ship. And via the vin # the dealer will retrieve the code.

Thank you for using Fixya!

Its possible that recently disconnected the battery and the LOCK CODE needed re-enter. Check your owners manual to the procedure. If you dont have this code, with the VIN number, need to visit the dealer and ask for this code to unlock the device.

Is there a CD in the player? Sometimes the CDs get stuck and you just need to bang on the dash above it while it's trying to eject/change CDs.

Keep us updated.

Hi

In what way is it not working, any power to it, does the cartridge still pop out when you press the button to release it? If not you should be able to see a tiny pinhole on the autochanger, use a pin and this should eject the cartridge, once done replace it and it should reset it's self. If still no joy it could be a blown fuse if the battery was arked when fitting, also worth a mention simply disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes can also reset it.

Hope this helps, if not get back to me for further advice.

Regards

Dan

Cd player stopped working when the battery went bad. Replaced battery and cd player does not work, it says load error any ideas on how to fix

I believe you will have to carry the vehicle back to the dealer to let them reset your radio. You can look through your owners manual and it should tell you.
