This is a common problem. the blend door is prone to breakage. the actuator motor turns but does not move the door. there is a do it yourself repair. you can either repair the two doors or switch to one door.

Cool air coming from vents

The two lines are 1. the hot water coming from your radiator and 2 the return water coming out of the heater core going back to the radiator. If the hose is hot which it should be and the return is less hot which it should be, it sounds like you have an issue with the temp controls part inside the vehicle. It is electronic I think so that is more than likely your problem.

Why am I getting cool air conditioned air out of drivers side, and hot air out of passenger side (want cool ac on passenger side also).

There are 2possibles ,1. The heat / cool slide control is defective, it is not possible to repair. Most likely the servo motor that opens and closes the air vent that gives you heat or cool is stuck. Open your glove box and you will see 2 rubber tabs that hold the door at the open and down position. Push down on your glove box door until it swings all the way down (this wil be past normal open) up inside you will see a metal rod affixed to a arm that pivots via the servo left is full vent(cool) right is full heat. Push your hot/cold heat selector and see if it moves. It may not be moving its full extension. If your not sure push it right and you should get heat push it left and you should get cool check YouTube this is a common problem for this era of Buicks, good luck Bret

How do u open the heat vent on a cutlass 85 the wire is not open the heat vent up all the way no heat...

Heat vent is vacuum activated on 85 cutty. Under hood on right side inner fender well look for a round black plastic ball . Should have two vacuum lines coming off it. The ball is a vacuum accumulator and provides pressure that opens the heater vent.

check to make sure the carpet isn't blocking the right side vent. Both vents come from the same tube so if one is working the other should be also.

I really can't be sure off hand, but what you wrote looks like the control valves are sticking(these flaps allow air to go different directions at the vents). its located at the heater core(towards the left side of the heater core) under the plastic just under the dash. you can manually move them, encase they are stuck, they do stick sometimes. while checking the vent doors, make sure your vacuum lines are connected. also check to make sure your vent hoses are tight. I hope this helps

I have a 03 dodge pickup i get heat out of right side but i have air movement out of both sides. what do you think this could be?

there are little 'doors' that let in the heat vs. outside air, I'm guessing the door on the left side is stuck shut, you should be able to reach under by the air vent when the vehicle is warmed up and feel a wam spot, the door should be close by, and if you're kinda cheap like me you just jam it open and you'll have heat all winter. I just did this to my subaru, worked like a charm.
