Question about 2000 Mazda MPV

I disconnect the motor from the regulator and I sew the motor is going in one direction only .witch is up, and did not go down .can you please tell me if the problem is with motor .or the switch. the regulator is new.this is the second motor it looks like the switch have no effect to stop the motor I HAVE TO HOLD THE SWITCH DOWN. IF I LEAVE IT THE MOTOR GO S AGAIN. BUT IT DOSE NOT GO DOWN PLEASE HELP
I just came from Mechanic with the same issue (almost), in my case the I have Mazda MPV 2000, with the driver side window regulator issue. I just have to push the window a bit to make it up and down, seems like the window gets stuck somewhere. My mechanic advised me that the whole assemble 'window regulator' needs a change (of course which I do not understand unless he opens the door panel infront of me and satisfies me). He mentioned one of the wire cable got broken so I need to buy the window regulator which includes the motor and the frame on which the window gets seated.
I understand its a bit awkward but I will keep you posted for any further result.
