The dip stick is part of the cap on the top of the power steering pump. The cap and stick is usually colored black. When you remove the cap( it twists right off), pull the cap straight up and turn over. The stick is right there. Its about 3 or 4 inches long. It will be marked for the proper amount of power steering fluid you need, just like the oil dip stick. Hope this helps.

Where do i apply power steering fluid on a 2005 Pontiac Montana?

The dip stick will be on the left side of the engine as you stand in front of the car. The cap should have either a steering wheel emblem and waves for fluid or it will say power steering fluid. It will be located back towards the engine compartment, on the left of the engine. The dip stick is short, only 3-5 inches long.

2010 equinox power steering fluid

The 2010 v6 has a power steering dip stick below the engine cover. Take off the oil cap, grab the plastic engine cover on each side and lift it off (it snaps off and on). Put the oil cap back on so you don\'t lose it. You will see the power steering dipstick at the top of the engine. This only applies to the v6. Mine was loud, and I added a bit of fluid and it was fine.

Its like a grumbling when the car is idling is this common for a power steering pump to go

This could be a power steering pump, they can make that noise. Did you listen under the hood with a piece of wooden dowel (old broom stick works well) to try and isolate the location of the noise? You can also for cheap buy a mechanics stethoscope, they are great.

I dont know where to put the power steering fluid at. Please help

Hi!!

The Power Steering pump is located in the front of the engine usually on the right side, and is driven by a belt, on top of the pump there is a screw-on cap about 2" in diameter that says POWER STEERING FLUID, integrated on the cap, is the dip stick, make sure not to overfill PS deposit.

Where is the power steering fluid dip stick on a 1988 XJ-S?

I am not familiar with this car. However, on most cars the power steering level is not determined by using a dipstick. On most cars, you open the power steering fluid reservoir and look at it to determine if the reservoir is full. I hope this helps.

Slight problem?

Pull out the dip stick and see where the level is. The dipstick is located on the dr. side of the engine compartment near trans. I don't remember if the color of the stick is red or yellow.
