This will come on when you have a problem with the alternator. Usually your alternator is not putting out enough power to supply the engine and battery at a certain level. It will also come on if it is over charging the system( can burn out the computer) Its a safety measure. just get your mechanic to check out the alternator. Hope this helps

Why Mark check charging system Ford expedition eddie baurer

If the check charging system message is displayed the vehicle is most likely not charging. Have your alternator tested to determine if it is working properly. If it is not the vehicle will stall out due to the battery going dead

My battery light is on in my 2003 navigator message center says check charging system I had my charging system check at autozone an all test came back good. the light is still on so what could be the...

Don't know what auto zone did, but obviously
didn't diagnose or resolve the issue

Start over at a shop that you hopefully have used
with sucess for years

You need wirng diagrams to see what the system
looks like, to start on that issue

"Check Charging System" message.

If you know for a fact the battery and alternator are good, the problem would be in the wiring between the two. You should have battery voltage at the alternator with the engine off.
Check for voltage at the alternator and the starter cables. There are fuseable links that look like regular wires but have fuse wire inside.

The "service charging system" message

Hello,

" service charging system ", means you have an issue with your battery, your alternator, or
your voltage regulator. Something is causing your battery not to charge properly. You should
have it checked as soon as possible. This could keep your vehicle from starting next time.

I hope this helps you.
